2026 Festival Programme

Our Main Programme features films from 6 continents and 16 countries. And with 12 films showing before their release in the UK, plus 2 UK premieres, 2 European premieres and a World Premiere, we are providing a rare opportunity for festival-goers to experience the finest in global cinema right here in the beautiful Lake District.

Completing our line-up this year are the Festival Fringe and Second Chance Sunday - in the programme slots currently marked as TBA.

On Friday and Saturday, our Festival Fringe provides a platform for local filmmakers and works of specific interest to our region that showcase Cumbrian life.

We know how irritating it can be to miss a Festival film that was sold out or everyone raved about! Second Chance Sunday is your chance to catch up highly rated films. Of course, we can't announce those titles until you've voted with your feet, so eyes peeled for the announcements on our website, socials and venues!.
