Into the world of the Emperor Penguins, who find their soul mates through song, a penguin is born who cannot sing. Instead, Mumble must express himself, and lure a female, through his amazing talent for tap-dancing.

It is mating season and Gloria is the centre of attention. After Mumble desperately begins tap dancing in synch with her song, she falls for him. The elders are appalled by Mumble's conduct and he is exiled, leading to encounters with orcas, elephant seals and skuas.

The film won an Oscar and a BAFTA as the Best Animated Feature of 2006.

Critics

“You should see Happy Feet -- not only because it's stupendous, but also because it features the best dancing you'll see on the screen this year. ”
